As per a press release, the film has been in development for two years and “combines military realism, survival horror and alien mythology”. It marks Akshay and Vipul’s collaboration after 12 years since they last worked together in the latter’s production, Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty.

Speaking about it, Vipul said in a statement, “The ambition to create something better and bigger every single time with Akshay Sir has been the hallmark of our journey. We have challenged each other in many ways to keep pushing ourselves and do better, and this time, the challenge is bigger than ever. I hope we create something together that people will absolutely love.”
Academy Award-nominated creature effects designer Alec Gillis, (Known for Alien and Predator franchises and Alien: Romulus), has designed the film’s central alien while British action director Luke Tumber is designing and directing the action for Samuk. More details about other cast members are awaited.
Akshay was recently seen in the comedy-drama, Welcome to the Jungle. He will be seen next in Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan.
