Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy M47 5G, which will increase the number of smartphones in the Galaxy M series, will be on sale in India on June 29.

The phone, which is targeted toward younger consumers, emphasises long-term software support, performance, battery life, and durability. Built on a 4nm technology, the gadget is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 engine and comes with LPDDR5X RAM. According to Samsung, the combination is intended to decrease battery consumption and enhance multitasking performance.

The 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display of the Galaxy M47 5G has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Smoother gaming, video playing, and scrolling are the goals of the increased refresh rate.

The smartphone boasts a 6,000mAh battery and 45W quick charging capability according to Samsung. Additionally, it has a bypass charging mode that minimises performance throttling and reduces heat buildup by allowing the tablet to draw power straight from the charger while playing games.

The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for longevity. According to Samsung, the glass provides better defence against unintentional drops and increased resistance to scratches.

The camera system consists of a 12-megapixel HDR front-facing camera and a 50-megapixel triple back camera configuration with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). In addition to having Samsung’s Nightography mode for low-light photography and videography, the device can capture 4K video.

The Galaxy M47 5G will come pre-installed with One UI 8.5, which is based on Android 16. The software lifecycle of the device will be extended by Samsung’s commitment to six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security patches.

Google Gemini integration, on-device voicemail support, Circle to Search, and Samsung Wallet with Tap & Pay capabilities are more features. Samsung Knox Vault and Auto Blocker are two security technologies that assist shield user data from hardware-based risks and viruses.

The colours Rogue Red and Blaze Blue will be offered for the Galaxy M47 5G. Pricing information has not yet been released by Samsung.
