Who Was Varinder Singh Ghuman?
Indian bodybuilder and actor Varinder Singh Ghuman had a lasting impression on the entertainment and sports industries. Ghuman, who was born with a love for fitness, became well-known after taking second place in the Mr. Asia competition and earning the Mr. India title in 2009. He represented Arnold Schwarzenegger’s company in Asia and was the first bodybuilder from India to obtain an IFBB pro card.
After making his acting debut in the Punjabi film Kabaddi Once More in 2012, Ghuman went on to appear in Hindi films like Marjaavaan (2019) and Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014). He most recently starred in a supporting capacity in Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (2023).
Known for his extreme discipline and vegetarianism, Ghuman gained international acclaim for shattering bodybuilding clichés and motivating young Indian fitness enthusiasts.
