Escorted tour operator Travelsphere has added to its ‘Royal Geographical Society (RGS) Collection’ with new departures in 2027.
The additional tours comprise a new itinerary in Iceland, and an existing ‘Treasures of Egypt’ tour has been enhanced and added to the programme:

Highlights include a guided tour in Reykjavík; the Goðafoss waterfall; the Dimmuborgir lava fields and Grjótagjá lava cave; and a cruise on the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Prices start from £4,349pp, departing October 16, 2027.
* Eight-day ‘Treasures of Egypt – Pyramids and a Nile Cruise’. Starting in Cairo and visiting the Pyramids of Giza; Luxor; a Nile cruise; Edfu; Kom Ombo; and Aswan. Highlights include a tour of Islamic Cairo and visit to Khan El Khalili bazaar; the Valley of the Kings; and a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Prices start from £3,209pp, departing February 1, 2027.
The ‘RGS Collection’ is a selection of itineraries featuring expert-led insights and an exclusive RGS tour booklet keepsake offering destination content provided by the Society. A contribution from each booking supports the Society’s ongoing research and fieldwork.
The programme now consists of 15 itineraries and all tours include return flights, overseas transfers, accommodation, select meals, and a holiday director and specialist local guides.
Kathy Farahat, product & operations director at Travelsphere, said: “Travellers are increasingly looking for holidays that go beyond the usual sightseeing, and the ‘RGS Collection’ is a great way to bring that to life. These itineraries combine fascinating destinations with the chance to learn more from experts and get a deeper sense of the places guests are visiting. Iceland is a wonderful addition, with its dramatic landscapes and waterfalls to glaciers and volcanic sites, while Egypt offers a mix of ancient history, iconic sights and life along the Nile.”
