Apple TV has unveiled the first full trailer for Slow Horses Season 6, and Jackson Lamb’s latest problem is considerably worse than another bureaucratic headache. Gary Oldman’s foul-mouthed MI5 spymaster discovers that people connected to Slough House are being killed, forcing his team to disappear before they become the next targets.

The trailer begins with Lamb investigating a disturbing pattern of deaths. His question to MI5 director Diana Taverner, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, establishes that someone appears to be coming after anyone who has ever worked at Slough House. Lamb orders his team into a safe house and tells them to stay away from their phones while the threat is investigated.
Jack Lowden’s River Cartwright and the rest of Lamb’s team find themselves caught in a conspiracy that turns their usual workplace dysfunction into a matter of survival.
The trailer’s biggest surprise comes at the very end. Olivia Cooke returns as Sid Baker, the MI5 agent who was presumed dead after being shot during Season 1. Cooke’s character vanished from the series after her apparent death, although River later discovered that her records had been mysteriously erased. The new footage finally confirms that Sid survived, with her sudden appearance setting up one of the season’s biggest mysteries.
The returning cast includes Saskia Reeves, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Rosalind Eleazar, Joanna Scanlan, Samuel West, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, Jonathan Pryce and Hugo Weaving.
The new season also adds Kyle Soller, who plays one of the assassins pursuing the Slow Horses. Soller is best known for playing Syril Karn, in Andor. He is joined in the season’s new cast by MyAnna Buring, who plays the other assassin, as well as Lucian Msamati, Harry Lloyd and Lenny Rush.

Season 6 adapts material from two Mick Herron novels, Joe Country and Slough House, bringing together the sixth and seventh books in the author’s spy series. Gaby Chiappe has adapted the season for television, with Adam Randall directing.
The new season follows the events of Season 5, which earned Slow Horses nine Primetime Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series and acting nominations for Oldman and Lowden.
Slow Horses Season 6 premieres September 16, 2026, on Apple TV, with six episodes releasing weekly through October 21.
