According to the story, OpenAI has secured the cooperation of one of Apple’s major product suppliers to assist in the development of these rumored AI devices. According to reports, Sam Altman and his team intend to create glasses, a digital voice recorder with AI embedded into the platform, and even a wearable pin, with one of these products set to ship by late next year or early 2027.
OpenAI has already collaborated with Jony Ive’s company to develop and create AI products, but details are still limited. Having said that, it is fascinating to see devices like glasses and AI Pin in their plans, especially because Altman has publicly criticized their purpose and is not particularly interested in the use case for these products.
Altman has spoken about creating a gadget that is accessible to everyone, which will be new territory for the former Apple top designer, but he seemed eager to make it work.
The prospect of AI-powered technology elicits mixed reactions, but this appears to be different, and we are excited to see how the Altman-Ivy combo succeed where others have failed.
It’s time, Apple!
