Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan turned 55 on Wednesday (September 2, 2026), and the wishes poured in, including the Prime Minister’s. “Birthday greetings to Shri Pawan Kalyan Garu. He is widely respected among the people and is at the forefront of adding momentum to the good governance agenda of the NDA in Andhra Pradesh. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life in service of society,” Narendra Modi wrote on X.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah posted in English and Telugu. “Your dedicated endeavours towards realising the NDA’s vision for the development of the state and welfare of the people are commendable. Praying for your good health for continued service to the citizens,” he wrote. Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Governor S. Abdul Nazeer also wished him.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan replied to the Prime Minister and the Home Minister on X, and pinned his reply to Mr. Modi. “My Heartfelt gratitude for your warm birthday wishes, kind words, and blessings. Your affection and encouragement are deeply humbling and strengthen my resolve to serve the people of Andhra Pradesh with greater commitment,” he wrote to Mr. Modi. To Mr. Shah: “I am honoured to contribute to this collective journey and remain committed to strengthening the NDA’s vision for the development and welfare of Andhra Pradesh.”
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, in a post in Telugu, called Mr. Pawan Kalyan a friend and said he held an enduring place in the hearts of fans as the ‘power star’. He wished him a full hundred years in good health, and said Mr. Pawan Kalyan was bringing major changes to the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department through reforms and development programmes that were yielding excellent results. He said Mr. Pawan Kalyan had been working tirelessly to fulfil the alliance’s promises, and wished him many more such birthdays.
IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh called Mr. Pawan Kalyan his ‘God-given elder brother’, ‘Pawananna’, a ‘power star’ to film fans and ‘Senani’ to Jana Sena workers, and wished him a hundred years of health and happiness. He congratulated the fans on holding birthday celebrations and social service activities like a festival across the Telugu States.
Pawan’s wife, Anna Konidela, posted a photograph of the two on Instagram. “Celebrating you today. You are in so many hearts, thoughts and prayers, a beautiful reflection of how many lives you have touched and how much you have given to others. Happy Birthday!” she wrote.
Tollywood calls Kalyan Babu, Babai
His elder brother, actor Chiranjeevi, wrote a long post in Telugu, addressed him as ‘Kalyan Babu’ and signed it ‘Annayya, Chiranjeevi’, elder brother. He wrote that he had seen in his brother since childhood a love full of commitment and a resolve full of responsibility. He praised the way Mr. Pawan Kalyan had put his whole heart into lasting solutions for problems that had lingered for years and carried development to remote and tribal areas, and prayed to the family deity, Lord Anjaneya Swami, that he live a hundred years in health. The post carried three photographs of the brothers.
Actor Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi’s son, wrote: “You have always been a great source of inspiration to me. Wishing you good health, happiness and many more wonderful years ahead. Bike rallies from Gajuwaka to Kukatpally
Bikes went out across Visakhapatnam and Gajuwaka, and in Anakapalle the MLA, Konathala Ramakrishna, rode with them. Vijayawada had its own rallies. In Hyderabad’s Kukatpally, bikes and jeeps set off from KPHB.
