Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki, whereas Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar.
Tiger vs. Pathaan, the upcoming movie starring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, has apparently been postponed. This assertion follows Salman’s earlier this year confirmation that the project is “not happening” at this time. The YRF spy world is a part of the film.
According to recent sources, Aditya Chopra intends to redesign Tiger vs. Pathaan.
“Aditya feels the Spy Universe films are veering toward repetition and need a revitalised approach to storytelling and presentation,” according to media outlet PeepingMoon.com. He is currently reviewing its roadmap and making major adjustments to plans for the future.
The source went on to say, “The goal is to make sure subsequent movies like Tiger vs. Pathaan take a fresh artistic approach, not to put off already-planned blockbusters. The goal is to prevent formula weariness by introducing novel storytelling techniques and new direction.
However, an official confirmation is still pending.
Salman Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger (2012), starring Katrina Kaif, launched YRF’s spy world. In the movie, Salman Khan portrayed Avinash Singh Rathore, code-named Tiger, a RAW agent. Later, he played the same part in Tiger 3 (2023) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).
In contrast, Shah Rukh Khan entered the spy genre with the popular film Pathaan (2023). In the Siddharth Anand-directed film, Salman Khan made a guest appearance.
Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s War (2019) is another film in this spy genre. There are also War 2 and Alpha in the lineup. In Alpha, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh will appear on the same screen.
Prior to Tiger vs. Pathaan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh starred in Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam (2002), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), and Karan Arjun (1995).
The last time we saw Salman Khan was in Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. This year’s Eid saw the release of the action adventure, which also starred Pooja Hegde. But the movie fell short of expectations.
In contrast, Shah Rukh Khan starred in the play Dunki in 2023. His upcoming film is King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh.
