Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2023 blockbuster, Jailer, comes back with even more action and impact. The creators released a teaser for the sequel on Tuesday night.

In addition to Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar is returning to lead the production, preserving the essence of the first movie.

Director Nelson and musician Anirudh Ravichander starred in the announcement video, which was shown in numerous Indian theaters.

The four-minute teaser shows the director and musician hanging out in a beach bungalow in Goa, talking about their next plans. The teasing is entertaining, with one aimed at Nelson for not having made a movie during the five cyclones and another at Anirudh’s extensive list of forthcoming projects.

Just as they are relaxing, windows and glass crack, doors are flung aside, and people start frantically trying to escape for their lives.

The Hukum song from the first film plays in the background as Rajinikanth’s most well-known silhouette emerges amid all the mayhem.

Anirudh Ravichander composed the music for the teaser, which also includes a remix of Hukum.

Jailer is a huge hit and one of the highest-grossing Tamil films ever made. The movie followed a former jail warden who, when his son disappears and is thought to be dead, sets out to exact retribution.

The cast of Jailer 2, which is being produced by Sun Pictures, which is owned by Kalanithi Maran, has not yet been revealed.

Among others, Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, and Yogi Babu played important parts in Jailer. Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Jackie Shroff all made brief appearances in the film.

Regarding his career, Rajinikanth is also working on Coolie, which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
