DMC Quote, the travel technology brand of Singapore headquartered Travel DMC Group, has launched a booking and ticketing system for attraction, tour and activity operators. The platform enables operators to enter their products once and sell through their own booking page, at their physical counter or gate, and through the DMC Quote travel agent network.
The system is designed for theme parks, zoos and aquariums, museums, water parks, observation decks, desert safari and day-tour companies, activity providers and transfer operators. It is particularly suited to businesses that still manage tickets on paper, confirm bookings through WhatsApp or use spreadsheets to manage products, reservations and sales.
Through their own booking page, operators can allow guests to book and pay online and receive a QR e-ticket. At the counter or gate, staff can scan the QR code using a phone or tablet, after which the ticket is marked as used. Each ticket can only be redeemed once, so the same code cannot be used twice.
The platform also gives operators access to the DMC Quote travel agent network. Approved agents can view an operator’s products and book at the rates set by the operator, while the operator is notified of every booking. The distribution network is a core part of the system, giving operators access to travel agent buyers alongside the booking and ticketing tools.
“Operators have been sold dashboards for years, but what they actually need is buyers. Our system gives operators the tools to manage bookings and tickets, while also putting their products in front of travel agents who can sell them,” said Shiv Swaroop Arora, Director, DMC Quote.
Operators that already have a website can add the booking system while keeping their existing website design. Guests can book, pay and receive their ticket without leaving it. For businesses without a website, DMC Quote can build a booking site in the operator’s name using the photos and details submitted during onboarding, including the operator’s logo, colours and products. Operators that own a domain can also run the same booking site on that domain.
Pricing consists of a one-time setup fee of USD 50, followed by a flat 2 percent booking fee on tickets sold. The 2 percent rate remains the same at any volume, with no monthly licence fee. Operators retain their own merchant account, with payment collection configured during onboarding. All terms are confirmed in writing in the operator agreement before going live.
Onboarding consists of four steps: creating the operator account, verifying the business registration and licence, adding products through a guided wizard, and going live after approval. The guided product setup covers photos, descriptions, inclusions, operating days and times, ticket types and rates, with products able to be saved and resumed before completion.
Every account includes listing on the DMC Quote marketplace, agent portal distribution, a booking page, real-time inventory, capacity management, discounts and promo codes, sales orders for bulk issuance, QR ticket scanning, POS software, mobile POS, seat and venue management, merchandise management, email templates, standard reports, analytics dashboard, account and user permissions, standard support and chat support. Google Things to Do, an add-ons builder and abandoned-cart email are coming soon.
