Arajet, Dominican Republic Tourism and the Marlins Celebrate Dominican Heritage Day in Miami

Arajet, the Dominican Republic’s flag carrier, joined the Miami Marlins and the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism to celebrate Dominican Heritage Day at loanDepot park, a special event dedicated to honoring the culture, music, traditions and pride of the Dominican community in South Florida.
The celebration took place during the game between the Miami Marlins and the Washington Nationals and offered attendees an experience filled with Dominican identity, featuring music, cultural entertainment, cuisine and a variety of interactive activities that brought the spirit of the Dominican Republic to the ballpark.

As presenting partners of the celebration, Arajet and the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism created different experiences to bring the destination and its culture closer to attendees. Arajet hosted activations throughout loanDepot park, including interactive activities, opportunities to engage with fans and chances to win trips to the Dominican Republic.
The festivities began before the game at West Plaza, where live music and Dominican dancers welcomed attendees. The celebration of Dominican culture continued with the Heritage Parade on the field, along with culinary offerings, family activities and special fan experiences.

The event concluded after the game with a special performance by renowned Dominican artist Toño Rosario, who brought the celebration to a memorable close with his music and energy during an evening dedicated to Dominican identity and culture.
“Being part of Dominican Heritage Day alongside the Miami Marlins is an opportunity to celebrate a community that keeps our culture and identity alive beyond our borders. Miami is already our second-largest route in the United States by passenger volume, demonstrating the strong connection that exists between this community and the Dominican Republic. We are proud to continue strengthening that bond and creating more opportunities for Dominicans to stay close to home,” said Manuel Luna, Chief Communications Officer of Arajet.

As an official partner of the Miami Marlins, Arajet continues to support initiatives that celebrate Dominican identity and strengthen ties with the diaspora in South Florida. This partnership is part of the airline’s commitment to bringing the Dominican Republic closer to its communities abroad, combining greater air connectivity with experiences that promote Dominican culture and national pride.
In line with its vision of positioning the Dominican Republic as the new air hub of the Americas, Arajet continues to expand the country’s connectivity across the region. From Miami, travelers can fly directly to Santo Domingo and Punta Cana while also accessing connections to destinations across the airline’s network in North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
