Aer Lingus cabin crew welcome Katie Taylor

Aer Lingus cabin crew Emma Regazzoli and Anna Moore were delighted to meet three-time undisputed world champion Katie Taylor as she prepared to fly back to her home in the United States.

The boxing legend travelled on Aer Lingus flight EI131 to Hartford, Connecticut, a direct service she regularly uses when travelling between Ireland and the US.

Katie enjoyed some well-earned relaxation in the airline’s Business Class cabin following weeks of preparation for her historic fight at Croke Park last weekend.

A crowd of over 80,000 fans packed the stadium to cheer on one of Ireland’s greatest sporting icons as she successfully defended her WBO, WBA, IBF and Ring Magazine titles, while also capturing the WBC super lightweight crown in her victory over France’s Flora Pili.

Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus, said: “Katie continues to inspire people across Ireland and around the world with her dedication, determination and extraordinary achievements. Everyone at Aer Lingus congratulates her on another remarkable victory, and we wish her a relaxing journey home to Connecticut.”
