Saudi, Welcome to Arabia Concludes Participation at Inaugural WTM Spotlight Riyadh

Saudi, Welcome to Arabia concluded its participation at the inaugural WTM Spotlight Riyadh, the first event in WTM’s new destination-focused series. Over three days, the event brought together government bodies, trade partners, and media for meetings and discussions centered on the future of travel and tourism.

Visitors to the Saudi, Welcome to Arabia booth discovered destinations spanning cultural and heritage sites, coastal escapes, luxury hospitality, and emerging adventure offerings. The stand also hosted business meetings and networking sessions designed to deepen ties with international markets.

The event also served as a venue for partnership announcements. The Saudi Tourism Authority signed a strategic partnership with Almosafer Activities, integrating the platform with its Saudi Partner Tourism Exchange Portal, reflecting continued collaboration across the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

Abdullah Al Dakhil, the spokesperson for the Saudi Tourism Authority, said: “WTM Spotlight Riyadh brought the international travel trade together with Saudi businesses on home ground, reflecting the country’s rising role as a driver of the region’s travel industry. Over the past three days, we’ve built new relationships, advanced agreements, and showcased the diversity of experiences now on offer across Saudi.”

“We look forward to building on these connections as we deepen engagement with the global travel industry and unlock future visitation.”

The event brought together international buyers, exhibitors, and tourism stakeholders, offering a firsthand look at the destinations, experiences, and infrastructure driving Saudi’s visitor economy, while reinforcing the destination’s growing position as a global hub for sports, events, and entertainment. The event also highlighted an impressive pipeline of major international sporting events, including the Six Kings Slam, WWE Crown Jewel, and the Canelo Álvarez vs. Christian Mbilli WBC title fight, expected to further enhance Saudi’s global visibility and support continued tourism growth.

The participation forms part of Saudi Tourism Authority’s ongoing efforts to expand the reach of the Saudi destination brand and convert international interest into trade engagement, agreements, and future visitation.
