Day 5 Box Office Collection: Welcome To The Jungle Even though Akshay Kumar’s most recent comedy picture has made over Rs 100 crore worldwide, At the box office, Welcome to the Jungle has now slowed down. The movie’s domestic opening weekend earnings of around Rs 63.75 crore have fallen to single digits. Welcome 3 made just Rs 9.25 crore on its first Tuesday, bringing the total net collection for India to Rs 81.50 crore and the global total to Rs 120.12 crore.
With 10,258 shows on Day 5, Welcome to the Jungle had an overall occupancy of 29.06%; morning shows were at 13.15%, afternoon shows were at 27%, evening shows were at 31.54%, and night shows were at 44.54%.
It is noteworthy that Welcome to the Jungle has been performing better than its predecessora Welcome (2007) and Welcome Back (2015). However, the film will soon face competition from upcoming big releases, including Alpha, Dhamaal 4, The Odyssey, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
In the meantime, Raveena Tandon, who portrayed Zoya in the movie, responded to criticism of the third installment of Welcome in an interview with NDTV and advised viewers not to search for realism or logic in such comedy. They haven’t seen many Hollywood comedies either if they are searching for logic, reality, and explanations in a comedy movie. The films of the greats, such as Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler, are different if they don’t have an emotional component. Do you expect rationality from films like Dumb and Dumber, which was a huge smash, or films starring Steve Martin or Leslie Nielsen? It’s similar like expecting reason from an episode of Mr. Bean.
