Along with other Bollywood stars, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Karisma Kapoor spent this week advertising their upcoming films and television shows, using their on-screen personas as the inspiration for their off-screen promotional attire. While some embraced softer lines, romantic colours, and bold accessories, others opted for sharp tailoring and monochromatic colour schemes. Androgynous styles also became more popular; Madhuri Dixit Nene, Karisma Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna, among others, opted for power blazers with relaxed tailoring, structured separates, and embroidered skirts. The clothes that stood out this week were incredibly wearable, stylish, and adaptable. Take a closer look at the celebrity ensembles that made it onto our list of the best-dressed.
Sharp contrasts were effective in Madhuri Dixit Nene’s style, both in terms of colour and shape. Sukriti Grover styled the ensemble, which included a flowing white midi skirt and a structured jacket with subtle floral motifs strewn throughout. Dixit Nene accessorised with bold rings from Timeless Jewels by Shveta and jewels by Anaňash. Follow her lead and dress in monotone with a striking red lip.
Mrunal Thakur donned a halter-neck waistcoat by Ivory Rose with a fitted black pencil skirt for the press run of her upcoming romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. Thakur accessorised the ensemble with layered necklaces and earrings from Tamannaah Fine Jewellery, as well as black heels from Oroh. Her hair was left loose in effortless waves, and her face was bronzed with gentle pink undertones.
Androgynous clothing is Karisma Kapoor’s speciality. The actor wore a maroon wrap jacket and trousers that were tightened at the waist with a leather obi belt in yet another structured ensemble, this time created by young designer Tarini Anand of Mumbai. Manisha Melwani, a stylist, used basic stud earrings to keep the accessories modest. Don’t miss the customised belt charm with the name of her show on it.
Sara Ali Khan donned a Qua co-ord outfit. A sleeveless halter-neck blazer and fitted black trousers completed the stylish ensemble. In addition to eyewear and shoes from A&S, stylist Tanya Ghavri accessorised the ensemble with a ring and earrings from Soni Sapphire. She had a side-parted haircut and winged eyeliner.
Pooja Hegde wore a pink outfit by Sevgilim for the press run of her next movie, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The classic Hollywood-inspired outfit, styled by Garima Garg, had a romantic undertone with a fitted bodice and wispy skirt. Hegde added shoes from Charles & Keith and floral earrings from Miss Jo Jewellery to complete the ensemble. She finished the ensemble with smooth, straight hair worn loose and bright pink lips.
