This week, users of WhatsApp will have access to several new capabilities under various settings, including Meta AI. The platform has been diligently developing additional features in beta mode for some time, and with the complete deployment scheduled for this holiday season, some of those features will now be accessible to a larger audience.
You have new options for calls, chats, and updates, and the list is very lengthy.
New Features for WhatsApp Are Coming Out
Voicemail on WhatsApp
Missed call messages are the first significant contribution. The standard call capability is now integrated into the messaging app, and we have previously seen this being tested. The next time you contact someone and they don’t pick up, you can use a single tap to record a voice or video message that they can listen to or view at a later time. This is voicemail’s next generation.
Reactions to voice conversations
Reactions are now supported in voice chats. You don’t have to stop the discussion to quickly share an emoji from the list.
Video call spotlight: In order to make it easier for others to follow their discourse, group video chats will soon feature the primary speaker on the spotlight.
Additional Meta AI improvements
With the help of Midjourney and Flux, Meta AI in WhatsApp can now create imaginative cards to wish people a happy holiday season. With the correct command, the AI model can also create a brief video from any picture.
There is a new media feature in the desktop version of WhatsApp that allows you to search for documents, links, and files across Mac, browser, and desktop chats.
Not only that, but there will be additional modifications to sticker packs and link previews, among other things. You might not notice all of these new capabilities on your smartphone right once because they will be gradually made accessible to all users over the coming weeks.
