Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of railways, said the Rajya Sabha on Friday that Indian Railways’ total timeliness rate had risen to 80%, outperforming some European nations.
In response to follow-up questions during Question Hour, the minister stated that a number of railway divisions had already surpassed the 90% punctuality threshold, emphasizing the results of improved maintenance procedures and methodical operational improvements carried out in recent years.
Railways’ overall timeliness has reached 80%, which is a noteworthy accomplishment. Over 90% of 70 railway divisions are on time. He told the House that Indian Railways is more punctual than a number of European nations.
In response to another addition, the minister further told the house that 82 train services are operated out of Ballia station, which has cultural and historical ties.
Vaishnaw added that the prime minister of Uttar Pradesh has taken a historic step by increasing the budget for railway construction.
