Singer Palak Muchhal, who was born in Indore and is well-known for her golden voice and soulful tunes, has now been inducted into both the Guinness Book of World Records and the Limca Book of Records—not for her singing, but for her exceptional humanitarian efforts. Her love of music has become a lifelong goal of compassion as she has contributed to the funding of over 3,800 heart surgeries for impoverished children in India and abroad through her Palak Palash Charitable Foundation.

Palak started giving at a very young age. On a train ride as a child, she came across impoverished kids; that experience altered the trajectory of her life. That day, she silently vowed to herself, “I will help them someday.” Years later, the pledge served as the inspiration for her foundation, which donates all proceeds from concerts and personal savings to treatments that can save lives.

Her giving is not limited to a single cause. Over the years, Palak has given Rs 10 lakh to aid victims of the Gujarat earthquake and helped the families of the Kargil martyrs. Her dedication to social welfare is based on empathy and is driven by persistent action.

With hits like “Meri Aashiqui,” “Kaun Tujhe,” and “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo,” Palak’s career took off, but she continued to dedicate her income and efforts to her organization. In addition to her professional accomplishments, her name appears in the Limca Book of Records, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to humanitarian activities.

Her spouse, composer Mithoon, is standing by her side and has consistently supported her in her charitable endeavors. “A child’s surgery will never stop, even if there’s no show, no income,” he once said. His remarks eloquently capture the couple’s will to continue the work in spite of financial obstacles.
