AC Group reveals a different side of France for winter 2026/27

Ski above the Mediterranean, experience the spectacle of Nice Carnival in February, wander through Alsace’s Christmas markets or spend an evening dining on the Seine. AC Group’s winter 2026/27 France portfolio brings together new experiences and seasonal favourites that show just how many different versions of a French winter there are.

New additions sit alongside seasonal favourites across the French Alps, Côte d’Azur, Alsace, Paris and the Loire Valley, giving travel partners fresh ways to create highly individual winter itineraries, well beyond the traditional Christmas break and with options spanning accommodation, experiences, and ready-to-package stays.

In Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, winter means altitude, with experiences including the Aiguille du Midi, the Mer de Glace and snowshoeing through the Alpine landscape, putting some of the French Alps’ most celebrated scenery at the heart of a winter stay.

On the Côte d’Azur, it looks rather different. A new Private Full Day Ski and Sun experience from A La Française Nice combines the mountains with the Mediterranean and is available through AC Group from mid-December to mid-March.

February brings another reason to head south, with two of the Riviera’s most distinctive annual events taking centre stage. A Private Day Carnival of Nice experience coincides with the 2027 Nice Carnival, which runs from 9 to 28 February, while the Private Day Menton Lemon Festival experience coincides with the Fête du Citron®, taking place from 13 to 28 February 2027.

Alsace delivers another mood entirely. Its villages and Christmas markets provide the classic festive backdrop, with Ophorus Strasbourg offering a full-day Christmas Markets in the Alsace Villages experience from late November to late December, alongside a private Strasbourg Christmas Magic Tour during the Christmas market season.

Two new hands-on experiences bring guests closer to the region’s culinary traditions. Le Palais du Pain d’Épices in Gertwiller celebrates Alsace’s gingerbread heritage, while Musée Les Secrets du Chocolat par Schaal in Strasbourg explores another of the region’s sweeter traditions.

France’s great châteaux take on a different character in winter too, with festive programmes at Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte and across the Loire Valley, including Château de Chambord, Château de Chenonceau, Château Royal d’Amboise and Château de Villandry.

Paris brings winter indoors, onto the water and into some of the capital’s most characterful neighbourhoods. New to AC Group’s programme, Bateaux Parisiens offers its Dinner Cruise Étoile and Dinner Cruise Premier, allowing guests to see the capital from the Seine over dinner.

For travel partners looking to package an earlier Paris stay, AC Group is also offering an exclusive two-night option at Le Jardin de Verre by Locke, combining accommodation and daily breakfast with a one-hour Bateaux Parisiens sightseeing cruise for two. Available between 16–24 September 2026, the package provides a ready-made way to combine a stylish stay in the capital with one of Paris’s classic experiences.

Beyond central Paris, Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée adds its own seasonal spectacle, with experiences including its Halloween and Christmas celebrations. Elsewhere in France, Puy du Fou in Les Epesses is another new addition to the programme, with seasonal events including La Prairie de la Toussaint and Le Grand Noël.

Together, the collection opens up a broader view of France in winter: not simply Christmas markets and festive city breaks, but snow-covered Alpine landscapes, decorated châteaux, long Paris evenings and the colour and energy of the Côte d’Azur in February, giving travel partners more ways to build distinctive France itineraries throughout the season.

Rob Russell, CEO of AC Group, said:

“There isn’t really one French winter. You can be in deep snow in Chamonix, among the Christmas markets of Alsace, dining on the Seine in Paris or on the Riviera for Carnival, and that contrast is exactly what makes France so interesting at this time of year.

“For our travel partners, it creates real freedom to design itineraries around what their clients love, whether that’s food, culture, the mountains or major seasonal events. It also gives us a chance to show a side of France that goes well beyond the traditional Christmas break and continues right through February and March.”
