At Brighton’s County Ground, England captain Thomas Rew had earlier won the toss and chosen to bat.
Isaac Mohammed produced a fast-paced 42 (28), while the best scorer, Rocky Flintoff, son of the legendary Andrew Flintoff of England, scored a cool 56 off 90 balls.
The best bowler for India U19 was Kanishk Chouhan, who claimed 3/20, while Mohamed Enaan, Henil Patel, and RS Ambrish each claimed a couple.
In 42.2 overs, England made 174 all out.
In the current three-match series, India U19 is ahead 1-0. Northampton will host the second and third games on June 30 and July 2, respectively. Worcester will host the fourth and fifth One-Dayers on July 5 and 7.
The squad will play two multi-day matches after the white-ball series. Beckenham will host the first from July 12 to 15, while Chelmsford will host the second from July 20 to 23.
