Villa Argentina reopened today following an extensive renovation of one of the city’s most iconic hotel complexes. Located just moments from Dubrovnik’s historic Old Town, the hotel brings together contemporary Croatian architecture and design with its carefully preserved cultural and artistic heritage, Mediterranean gardens and spectacular views of the city walls and the Adriatic Sea.
The renovation encompassed more than 10,000 square meters. Together with Villa Orsula, the renewed complex now comprises 109 rooms and suites, combining its distinctive historic character with the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
Villa Argentina has also joined The Leading Hotels of the World, a collection of more than 450 independent luxury hotels across over 80 countries. With this membership, Villa Argentina joins a select global community of hotels distinguished by authentic character, uncompromising service excellence and a commitment to creating unique experiences for every guest. Membership in The Leading Hotels of the World further confirms Villa Argentina’s position among the leading names in international luxury hospitality.

The renovation of Villa Argentina carefully blends its artistic and architectural heritage with contemporary design and its distinctive Mediterranean setting. Among the property’s most important artistic features is the restored 1967 mosaic Dubrovačke varijacije by celebrated Croatian painter Ivo Dulčić, which has been returned to its original setting within the wellness area. The interiors reinterpret Dubrovnik’s architectural tradition through natural materials, including stone and wood, complemented by color accents. Particular care was taken to preserve the historic gardens and existing vegetation, with approximately 14,000 plants integrated into the landscape, while local stone uncovered during the renovation was reused throughout the complex.
The reconstruction project was led by renowned Croatian architecture studio 3LHD, responsible for the architectural and interior design of the property. 3LHD and the Adriatic Luxury Hotels team collaborated with internationally acclaimed Dimore Studio on the soft décor and decorative elements, contributing to the final layering and character of the interiors.
