TAP Air Portugal announces that, by decision of co-optation of the Board of Directors, José Eduardo Moreira is TAP’s new COO, following the resignation of the position presented by Mário Chaves.
José Eduardo Moreira joined TAP in 1998 and currently holds the position of General Manager of Maintenance and Engineering. Previously, he held engineering roles in the Engine Maintenance and Engineering and Airworthiness departments.
Mário Chaves joined TAP’s Board of Directors in 2023, taking up the role of COO of TAP. Throughout his tenure, he led the airline’s operations, helping to achieve new and higher levels of efficiency, recognised both internally and externally.
The Board of Directors thanks him for all the commitment and dedication he has always shown to TAP and wishes him every success in his future endeavours.
TAP Air Portugal currently flies from London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester airport in the UK and from Dublin in Ireland to Lisbon and Porto with onward connections to Brazil, Africa, Madeira, Azores, the USA and Canada. TAP has a stop over programme allowing passengers to stop in either Lisbon or Porto on long haul journeys for up to 10 days for no additional air fare.
