US President Donald Trump said he should think about deporting entrepreneur Elon Musk after Musk criticized his flagship spending plan. “I’m not sure. When asked if he would think about deporting Musk, Trump told reporters at the White House, “We’ll have to take a look.”
Originally from South Africa, Musk is now a naturalized US citizen. Trump claimed that the Department of Government Efficiency, or “DOGE,” the Tesla CEO’s agency, may turn against him.

In response to the news, Musk replied on X to a post that featured the president’s video threat of deportation. “It’s so tempting to escalate this,” he remarked. So very alluring. But for now, I’ll hold back.”
The CEO of Space X oversaw DOGE as a special government employee with the goal of reducing federal government expenses.
