Removed Interim leader Yunus is criticized by Bangladeshi Prime Minister Hasina, who labels him “fascist” and charges him of eroding the spirit of the Liberation War.
Removed Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister of Bangladesh, attacked Muhammad Yunus, the country’s interim leader, once more on Sunday, saying he was leading a “undemocratic group” that had no answer to the people.
In a statement on the eve of the ‘Bijoy Dibosh’, a day when Bangladeshi celebrate December 16 as ‘Victory Day’, Hasina referred to Yunus as a “fascist” and claimed that the primary objective of his leadership is to suppress the spirit of the Liberation War and the pro-liberation forces.
After leaving her position as prime minister in August because to widespread anti-government demonstrations, Hasina fled to India.
“This undemocratic group led by the fascist Yunus has no responsibility towards the people,” she stated.
“They are taking power and obstructing all public welfare work,” she stated.
The Yunus government is not democratically elected, Hasina continued, and their primary goal is to stifle the spirit of the Liberation War.
“This government is not answerable to the people since it was not elected democratically. According to PTI, Hasina stated, “Their primary goal is to silence the pro-liberation forces and the spirit of the Liberation War and to silence their voice.”
Conversely, they are covertly aiding the radical community groups opposed to independence. “Every action taken by the leaders of this government, including the fascist Yunus, demonstrates their insensitivity to the Liberation War and its history,” she continued.
