Two days after the devastating flash floods in Nepal and Tibet that left more than 460 people dead, an earthquake of 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck Sichuan region in southwest China on Friday, reported Xinhua news agency. 

The quake occurred around 1.13 pm local time and the tremors were felt in Longchang. The epicentre, meanwhile, was located around 29.23 degrees north latitude and 105.22 degrees east longitude, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), adding that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 13 kilometres.

It is not clear whether the earthquake, a shallow quake, caused any damages or not.
