Patna: Tejashwi Yadav, a member of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, declared today that his brother Tej Pratap Yadav is an adult with the capacity to make his own choices. However, the party cannot accept “such things,” and his father’s decision to exclude his brother remains in effect.

Tejashwi Yadav wrote on X, “We are working and committed to the people of Bihar; we cannot tolerate such things.”
“My personal and political lives are distinct when it comes to my big brother. He is entitled to make his own decisions. The leader of our party has made it plain,” he continued.

The statement “Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice” was written by Lalu Yadav in a post.
“My oldest son’s actions, demeanor, and careless behavior are inconsistent with our family’s ideals and customs. I therefore take him out of the party and the family because of the aforementioned conditions. He will no longer play a part in the celebration or the family in any way. He added in the post, “He is banned from the party for six years.”
Months before the state’s assembly elections, Tej Pratap Yadav was expelled. Tejashwi Yadav, his brother and Lalu Yadav’s political heir, is spearheading the RJD campaign, but the Facebook post regarding Tej Pratap Yadav has angered the party.
The woman was identified as Anushka Yadav in the post, which was later removed, and it stated that she and the RJD leader had been dating for 12 years.
