Qantas has today launched a two-week sale for UK customers, with return Economy fares from London to Australia starting from £939 and fares to Singapore from £629.
The sale covers the airline’s twice-daily services from London Heathrow and includes Economy, Business and First, with fares available across some of the warmest months of the Australian calendar, ideal for UK travellers looking to escape the cold and enjoy a beachside getaway or city escape Down Under.
Return fares start from £629 to Singapore in Economy, for customers looking to break up the journey to Australia with a stopover in the vibrant island country in Southeast Asia.
Return fares to Australia start from £939 to Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane via Singapore in Economy.
Customers from the UK also have access to further reduced ‘Qantas Explorer fares’, which give access to discounted Economy and Business fares across more than 45 domestic destinations around Australia when you book an inbound international flight in the same itinerary.
The sale comes as the airline prepares for the launch of Project Sunrise, which from October 2027 will see Qantas fly non-stop between Sydney and London for the first time, taking the last stop out of a Kangaroo Route that began in 1947.
The airline recently unveiled the livery of its first purpose built A350-1000 aircraft at Airbus’ Toulouse facility, while confirming Sydney–London as its first Project Sunrise route. The first aircraft is due to be delivered in April 2027, with Sydney–London fares going on sale in February 2027 and the world-first commercial operations starting in October 2027.
Qantas will take delivery of 12 A350-1000ULRs in total, each configured with 238 seats across four cabins and fitted with an additional 20,000-litre fuel tank, enabling flights of more than 16,000km and up to 22 hours non-stop. The new non-stop services will operate alongside Qantas’ existing London flying, cutting up to four hours from current one-stop travel times.
Comments from Qantas International CEO Cam Wallace:
“British summer is just about over and this sale is a chance to go and find another one. February in Australia is perfect beach weather right around the country and we’ve got fares across every cabin from Heathrow to make it happen.
“It also comes at a significant moment for us. From October next year we’ll fly Sydney to London non-stop for the first time. Our first A350-1000ULR has already flown the longest certification test flight ever completed by a commercial aircraft and with the first delivery due in April, the non-stop Kangaroo Route is now very close.”
Qantas fares include checked baggage, complimentary food and beverages, inflight entertainment.
