On March 29, Sonam Kapoor and her spouse, businessman Anand Ahuja, welcomed their second son. The couple used Instagram to announce the birth of their son.
The 40-year-old actor wrote in the post that their hearts are richer than ever and that their family has expanded. Vayu, their older son, is overjoyed to have a baby brother, she continued.
Sonam sends a sentimental message
Her post’s description said, “Our family has grown, and with his arrival, our hearts have expanded in the most beautiful way (sic).”
She continued, “Vayu is overjoyed to welcome his little brother, and we feel deeply blessed by this precious new life who has filled our home with happiness and grace (sic).”
She concluded the post by expressing gratitude for beginning this new chapter as a family of four.
Announcement of pregnancy
Sonam had previously used a set of images on Instagram to reveal her second pregnancy. She revealed a gorgeous hot-pink wool outfit that was inspired by Princess Diana’s famous style in that image, which was simply captioned “MOTHER.”

In 2022, she and Anand welcomed Vayu, their first child. Sonam has stopped making films since then, although she has continued to participate in public events and get-togethers with friends and coworkers.
In May 2018, the pair tied the knot in a small Punjabi ceremony. They split their time between their residences in Mumbai, Delhi, and the UK.
A career in film
Sonam started her career in film in 2007 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. Since then, she has starred in a number of films, such as Delhi-6, Aisha, Raanjhanaa, Khoobsurat, Dolly Ki Doli, and Veere Di Wedding.
