Every ticket, even special flights for urgent government work, was paid for out of Lokesh’s personal income, according to the RTI data.

According to Right To Information (RTI) documents, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh financed his 77 flights to Hyderabad with his own funds despite criticism from opposition parties and his frequent jet travel.

According to the documents, Lokesh, the son of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, did not even use any public monies for these travels.

The minister has not claimed any government funding for travel or airline expenses, according to official responses from the ministries under Lokesh’s supervision: Human Resources, IT (Information Technology), Electronics, and RTGS.

Every ticket, including special flights for essential government business, was paid for from Lokesh’s personal income, according to the RTI data, thus the Andhra Pradesh exchequer was not burdened financially.

This incident has become a major talking point for the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP). In contrast to the charges against numerous other politicians of squandering public funds for travel and luxury, it presents Lokesh’s actions as accountable and open.
