After playing the strong role of Jaraj Saxena in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, actor Rajat Bedi is dominating the news. But his daughter Vera Bedi has also taken center stage, so it’s not just his role that has the internet talking. Vera, who has so far avoided the spotlight, shot to fame on social media after going to Mumbai with her father to see the glitzy premiere of Aryan Khan’s directing debut.
One fan comment that Rajat Bedi responded to during a recent chat on Filmygyan was: “Vera Bedi is eighteen years old, and she can eat ten Kareena Kapoor and twenty Aishwarya for dinner.” In response, Rajat folded his hands and said, “Nahi, nahi please, please, please.” My daughter is a very naive young woman.
“Aisa statements, please mat banayie ki she can eat a Kareena Kapoor or an Aishwarya Rai,” he continued. Because of this, we are quite fortunate. Please don’t compare her to Kareena ya Aishwarya; they are well-known figures in our field.”
“Meri bachhi hai chhoti si,” the actor said. Please show her respect and affection. 18 saal ki hai, woh padh rahi hai at the moment. College jaati hai, college mein. Samajh aa rahi yeh kya ho raha hai, usse bhi nahi. Media ne pakad ke utha liya hai, ek red carpet pe gayi, papa ke saath mein.”
Rajat had previously stated, “My entire family has become the center of attention,” in an interview with Hindustan Times. I’m not the only one. Due to me and the show, my kids are currently exposed. It’s insane that they have gone viral. Additionally, he has addressed the comparisons made between Vera and Kareena Kapoor.
“She is just overwhelmed,” the actor had stated, “because that attention is not just from India but from all over the world.” Calls are coming in from all around the world, including America, Canada, Dubai, and London. She has never experienced anything like this and is incredibly basic. She had never before accompanied her father to a red carpet event in her life.
“I haven’t discussed how to handle it with them yet. However, they are aware that they must treat everyone with respect and humility. You won’t ever witness my kids acting rudely or interacting with others. However, they are also overwhelmed because this is all so new to them,” he said.
“I haven’t yet talked to them about how to deal with it. But they know that they have to be humble and respectful to everyone. You will never see my children being impolite or interacting with strangers. But because this is all so unfamiliar to them, they are also feeling overwhelmed,” he said.
