The Mumbai Crime Branch is now suspecting Harry Boxer, a suspected active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, of participation in the star Ranveer Singh threat case. According to Mumbai Police officials who spoke to CNN-News18, Singh’s manager received a voicemail on WhatsApp requesting ₹1 crore. The sender of the audio message allegedly threatened the actor and demanded money in exchange for extortion. Investigators discovered during a preliminary check that the voice in the note sounds like Harry Boxer’s.
To verify the sender’s identity, a thorough technical and forensic study is presently being conducted, according to officials.
The message may have been sent from overseas using a VPN to conceal its source, according to investigators. Police have also asked Interpol for help in identifying the voice note’s origin. Investigations are now being conducted.
