In a traditional ceremony held in Chennai on Friday, Peetha Ganesh, the daughter of producer and founder of Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS) Ishari K. Ganesh, wed Lushvin Kumar. Filmmakers C Sundar, Mani Ratnam, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and actors Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Sathyaraj were among those who attended the wedding. On social media, inside photos from the wedding went viral.
On Thursday, Peetha Ganesh and Lushvin Kumar celebrated their Sangeet night. Suriya greets the newlyweds in a widely shared video. Visitors can be seen dancing to Kanimaa’s music from his most recent movie, Retro.

Isari Velan, a former politician and actor, is the father of Ganesh. In honor of his late father, he established Vel’s Educational Trust in 1992. Devi, Comali, Enai Noki Paayum Thota, Kutty Story, Mookuthi Amman, Joshua Imai Pol Kaakha, and other films have been produced by him under Vels Film International.
Ganesh is working on several projects, including Sumo and Dayangaram. Additionally, he is producing Mookuthi Amman 2, starring Nayanthara and Genie.
He also developed the Chutney Sambar series on Jio Hotstar (formerly Disney+ Hotstar) in 2024. Additionally, he appeared in a few movies, including Ninaikkaadha Naalillai and 2.0.
