Oliver Hotels & Resorts is set to transform the hotel management industry, embracing a new brand identity and a new era that puts owners first and builds on a legacy of operational excellence and expertise.
Formerly known as OCI Hospitality, the family-owned and operated hospitality company manages more than 30 properties across 14 states, representing nearly 5,000 keys and 20 brands, including Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton and IHG.
The rebrand marks a significant milestone for a company that has grown from its regional roots into a multi-state hospitality management platform, with a diverse portfolio that includes classic properties such as the historic Hilton Checkers Los Angeles, while staying true to the ownership mindset that built the business. The Oliver name puts that philosophy at the center of the brand: built by owners, for owners, and focused on creating meaningful value at every property it touches.
A New Identity, An Expert Bench of Battle-Tested Hospitality Leaders
Oliver Hotels & Resorts approaches hotel management from the perspective of the people behind the asset, with every decision grounded in performance, long-term results and what is ultimately best for the owner.
That mindset shapes how the company works, from maintaining direct relationships with owners to identifying opportunities to improve, reposition and grow each property.
“We don’t just manage hotels. We think and act like the people who own them, because with our collective decades of experience, we know what’s at stake. Every decision comes back to one question: does this create value for the owner?” said Danny Givertz, CEO of Oliver Hotels & Resorts.
The new identity is grounded in a straightforward approach: think like an owner, stay hands-on, act entrepreneurially and turn strategy into measurable results. Those principles are brought to life daily with support from Oliver Hotels & Resorts seasoned and impressive industry veteran leadership team, including:
Seth Oliver, President & COO: An industry veteran involved in the family business since age 8 who led the reorganization of the parent company (Oliver Companies) into a more streamlined, client-focused structure
Danny Givertz, CEO: Seasoned hospitality executive with nearly 30 years of experience driving results for hotel owners, with a track record of more than 300 hotel engagements nationally
Colleen Anderson, Chief Financial Officer: Responsible for financial oversight and company growth, with more than 20 years of relevant accounting experience, including 15 in the hospitality industry
Mitra Van, Senior Vice President of Business Development, Contact Mitra: More than two decades of experience in hospitality leadership, asset management and operations
JP Villarreal, Vice President of Hotel Operations: A 20-plus-year veteran who brings operational leadership and strategic oversight of branded and independent hotels
Therese Wensmann, Vice President of Sales and Culture: Builds high-performing teams rooted in trust, accountability and ownership, while driving top-line revenue strategy, with 23 years of industry experience.
This connected team brings together expertise across operations, revenue, sales, accounting, engineering, HR, procurement and other disciplines, allowing teams to leverage resources and expertise across the portfolio.
Built to Create Value Where Owners Need It Most Today
Oliver Hotels & Resorts offers owners what they need to succeed in today’s market: the personalized approach of a family-owned business with the resources and expertise of a growing management platform.
The company approaches each partnership with a focus on what can be improved, repositioned and created for the future, conducting its own independent market analysis for each individual hotel. Through that process, Oliver Hotels & Resorts identifies opportunities and challenges and works with owners to establish a clear path forward.
That philosophy is already translating into measurable results across the portfolio, with standout properties including:
Hilton Checkers Los Angeles: Achieved its first-ever $1 million in room revenue in a single month in March, a significant performance milestone in the hotel’s history. Since Oliver took over, the hotel has generated $810,286 more in room revenue than the same period last year, despite selling 1,048 fewer rooms.
Radisson Cedar Rapids: Delivered a 318% increase in room revenue, 152% increase in room nights sold, 164% increase in STR occupancy, 67% increase in ADR and 339% increase in RevPAR year over year, despite significant out-of-order inventory.
Plans For Growth: But With Intention
With its new brand in place, Oliver Hotels & Resorts is building on its momentum with what the team calls “curated expansion,” pursuing hotel management partnerships where its expertise, resources and owner-first approach can make a measurable difference.
“Growth is important, but meaningful growth is what matters. We want every new partnership to bring more expertise, more resources, and more opportunity to the table for our owners,” said Givertz.
