NIZUC Resort & Spa Awarded Its First MICHELIN Key

NIZUC Resort & Spa has been awarded its first One MICHELIN Key, joining the MICHELIN Guide’s 2026 selection of distinguished hotels.

According to the Guide’s classification, One MICHELIN Key represents “a very special stay,” honoring properties with a distinctive character, a high level of service, and an experience that stands out within its category. MICHELIN evaluates five universal criteria for this distinction: architecture and interior design; quality and consistency of service; personality and character; value for money; and the hotel’s contribution to its surroundings or destination.

The global 2026 MICHELIN Key selection was announced on September 18 and currently includes 98 hotels in Mexico, with NIZUC Resort & Spa among the country’s new additions.

“Receiving One MICHELIN Key is an immense source of pride for the entire NIZUC team and, at the same time, a recognition of the consistent work we do to create exceptional experiences for our guests. This achievement inspires us to continue raising our standards and sharing the essence of Mexican hospitality with the world,” said Ricardo Suárez,  General Manager of NIZUC Resort & Spa.

Located in Punta Nizuc, Cancún, the resort features 274 suites and villas set across a 29-acre natural preserve, along with five pools and two white-sand beaches, including one exclusively for adults. Its design draws inspiration from the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Mexican Caribbean, creating a setting where architecture, landscape, and the surrounding sea become an integral part of the experience.

Its wellness offering is anchored by NIZUC Spa by ESPA, a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star sanctuary that was named Latin America’s Best Resort Spa and Mexico’s Best Resort Spa by the World Spa Awards in 2025. Complementing the spa experience, NIZUC’s evolving wellness portfolio brings together advanced MedSpa therapies, personalized longevity programs, and regenerative wellness experiences, creating a more holistic approach to wellness, encompassing relaxation, restoration, aesthetics, vitality, and longevity.

NIZUC’s culinary journey unfolds across six distinctive restaurants, spanning contemporary Mexican, Peruvian, Asian, and Mediterranean cuisine, alongside a destination dedicated to expertly grilled seafood and premium cuts. The experience is complemented by carefully curated Dom Pérignon and Cava Santo Tomás, Champagne and wine experiences, as well as dedicated kosher kitchens, ensuring that every culinary detail is delivered with the same level of care and attention to detail.

With its first MICHELIN Key, NIZUC continues to define a distinctive expression of Mexican ultra-luxury hospitality, bringing together thoughtful design, sophisticated gastronomy,  transformative wellness, and deeply personal service to create experiences that linger long after departure.
