Netflix unveils release date of ‘Lust Stories 3’

Streaming service Netflix has announced the release date of Lust Stories 3 on Saturday (September 5, 2026). The anthology film will be released on the streamer on September 18 as it returns for the third installment with new stories from Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj.

The film stars Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Siddharth, Ali Fazal, Gurfateh Pirzada and is produced by RSVP and Flying Unicorn Entertainment.

The four stories are written by Kiran Rao, Tanaji Dasgupta, Avinash Sampath, Sumukhi Suresh, Shakun Batra, Sameeha Sabnis, Ashwathi Namboodiri, Nitesh Bhatia, Utkarshini Vashishtha and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Each chapter begins with a shared human impulse and arrives at a completely different emotional truth. Four of India’s leading directors bring four distinct perspectives, united by a singular vision: inviting audiences to interpret these relationships through the lens of their own experiences.”

Ronnie Screwvala added, “Over the years, the anthology has continued to evolve, reflecting the changing nuances of relationships and the many shades of modern intimacy. Netflix has been a valued partner in championing the anthology and giving these distinctive stories a global platform.”

The first part of the anthology premiered on Netflix in 2018 with short films made by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar.

A sequel came out in 2023 with R Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit Ravindernath Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh telling diverse stories around the intersection of love and desire.
