For the first time since their fallout in June, President Trump and Elon Musk were spotted together at Charlie Kirk’s memorial, shaking hands and seemingly getting along.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was about to go onstage to speak when the televised incident happened. Mr. Musk walked up to the president and slid into a vacant chair next to him. After each held out a hand, the two engaged in enthusiastic conversation.
Three months ago, Mr. Musk stormed out of the government and attacked the president on social media. The software magnate hinted during his blogging binge that the president was more involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s vile story than the general public realized. Before writing about the Epstein files, Mr. Musk tweeted, “Time to drop the really big bomb.” Mr. Trump threatened to shut down Mr. Musk’s companies by using state power. Mr. Trump wrote, “I was always shocked that Biden didn’t do it!”
However, the two were reunited on Sunday for Mr. Kirk’s memorial.
Mr. Kirk consistently expressed his belief that the president and the tech mogul will reconcile. During the summer, Mr. Kirk told Megyn Kelly, “I know both of them quite well.” “I believe they will get back together eventually.”
Together, I believe they’re lot stronger,” he continued.
On Sunday evening, Mr. Musk shared a picture of his reunion with the president on social media with the simple caption, “For Charlie.”
