The Maharashtra Mahayuti administration, which is run by the Bharatiya Janata Party, was charged by the Congress on Monday with purposefully introducing “hate and poison” into its election campaign in an effort to “disturb communal harmony in the state.” The “sick mindset” of the BJP was exposed by the campaign, according to Congress national secretary Jairam Ramesh.
There is only one campaign agenda for the Mahayuti, which is led by the BJP. Its sole purpose is to disrupt communal harmony within the state and to divide society along religious lines. Its warped worldview is revealed by such a terrible campaign,” Ramesh stated in a post on X.
The campaign is rife with intentionally infused hate and venom. However, on November 20th, the Maharashtra people will firmly reject this kind of propaganda,” the Congress leader continued.
According to Ramesh, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which is led by the Congress, is running a campaign in Maharashtra on topics that the general public finds urgent, like the severe hardships faced by women and farmers, the rising costs of necessities, and worker insecurity.
The alliance’s main priorities, he added, include discrimination against Maharashtra in major investment projects, the water issue, the lack of jobs for young people, and insufficient social justice for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and OBCs.
On November 20, Maharashtra will have elections. The ruling Mahayuti alliance, which includes the Congress, the Shiv Sena (UBT), and the Sharad Pawar-led NCP (SP), will run against the MVA, which is made up of the BJP, the Congress, and Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena.
