The singer-songwriter took a break from social media after almost a hundred days to promote Selena Gomez and her fiancé Benny Blanco’s new album, I Said I Love You First.
Selena’s 14-track album is her first significant release since 2020’s Rare.
On Saturday, the singer of Cruel Summer declared on her Instagram Story, “[Selena Gomez] & [Benny Blanco] I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDD.” She shared the album’s cover art and provided links to it as well. Swiftly returning the favor, Selena reposted Taylor’s tale with the sincere words, “Love you, Tay.”

More than ten years later, their relationship is still strong, and they always support one another’s accomplishments. In a recent Hot Ones interview, Benny Blanco even said that Selena has made him a “full-time Swiftie.”
Some of Selena’s followers had started to complain about the lack of acknowledgement from well-known performers, so Taylor’s public display of support was just what she needed.
The industry’s silence was also criticized by a well-known fan account on X (previously Twitter), which wrote: “Beckey G is the only celebrity endorsing Selena Gomez’s new album. Not even Taylor Swift. Since then, that post has been removed.
Additionally, some fans criticized Selena’s label, Interscope Records, for what they saw to be insufficient album marketing.
The album itself, meantime, has generated a lot of debate, particularly in relation to its lyrics. Many of the phrases were immediately interpreted by fans as subliminal jabs at Selena’s former partner, Justin Bieber.
She says, “You’re so embarrassing / Go cry when no one’s watching…,” in the song How Does It Feel To Be Forgotten? How does being forgotten feel? Many people assume the songs are directed at Bieber because of his recent passionate social media posts.
