Japan is a nation that skillfully combines modernity and heritage. The Land of the Rising Sun provides tourists with a singular travel experience, ranging from the busy streets of Tokyo to the tranquil gardens of Kyoto. Another intriguing feature of Japanese society is its extraordinary civic sensibility, which is demonstrated in a recent viral film. An Indian content maker was shown in the film touring a Japanese summer festival. While the roadways were busy with food stalls and hordes of people enjoying local delicacies, what struck the vlogger was the stunning cleanliness. There was no trash, no abandoned Kleenex, no empty water bottles, and no litter anywhere, even with the throng.

The sight of kids sitting peacefully on the highways, however, was the most unexpected aspect of the film. People could sit and dine on the streets with ease because of how clean everything was.

Several online users praised Japan’s demonstration of civic responsibility after the video went popular on Instagram.

According to one user, “Civic sense on top.”

And someone else said, “Good government, good people.”

“I went to the Awa Odori festival in Tokushima, and there must have been around 10,000 people, and so many food stalls,” one spectator wrote. There was no tissue paper on the road, despite the fact that people were eating, dancing, and relaxing. I miss the civic sensibility of Japan.
