In the case of an Indian attack, a Pakistani MP from the party of former prime minister Imran Khan has disclosed his plan of departure.
Sher Afzal Khan Marwat, who also practices law and represents Mr. Khan in court, revealed his exfil technique in response to a journalist’s query.
In the event of a conflict with India, the journalist questioned the MP from Pakistan’s Lakki Marwat constituency if he would take up arms and go to the front.
Mr. Marwat answered, “I will travel to England if war breaks out.”
Additionally, he serves as the spokesperson for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Mr. Khan’s party.
Following the deaths of 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, last month by terrorists with cross-border ties, tensions between India and Pakistan are high.
In reaction to Pakistan’s policy of deploying terrorists to target Indian military and civilians in Jammu and Kashmir, India has suspended the Indus Waters Treaty and barred all Pakistani visas, among other actions.
The BJP argued that Pakistani authorities and population do not trust their army, particularly at a time when tensions with India are increasing, in response to the Pakistani leader’s remarks about escaping to England.
BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari informed news agency ANI that Pakistani ministers had already reserved aircraft to evacuate their families from the nation in the event of conflict.
Pakistan is certain that it does not trust its military or its ability to defend itself. According to Mr. Bhandari, Pakistani ministers have purchased tickets for their families to travel to England and other nations.
“Pakistan is generally in agreement that it cannot match India’s defense capability. In reference to rumors that India is preparing a forceful reaction to the Pahalgam terror incident, he stated, “The people of Pakistan and the entire world think that under the leadership of PM Modi, India is going to give a befitting reply to Pakistan.”
