Grenada Commits to the UK Trade with Marketplace and ‘Meet Me in Grenada’ Offer for Agents

Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) is emphasising its commitment to the UK travel trade, following the success of its first Grenada Exchange with two engaging initiatives for UK travel professionals: Grenada Marketplace, taking place on island this November, and “Meet Me in Grenada”, a familiarisation offer for UK agents and tour operators travelling before the end of 2026.

On 7 September, Randall Dolland, Chairman, Tornia Charles, Chief Marketing Officer and Meryem Bennouna, Director of Sales, UK, brought together 24 UK product managers, 53 lunch guests and 74 travel agents for a day devoted to the Spice Isle at Grenada Exchange. Attendees included representatives from Audley Travel, Newmont, British Airways Holidays, Hummingbird and Private Travel. The event was warmly received, with productive meetings, an evening reception, a dedicated focus on Grenada and a stunning setting all helping to build strong relationships across tour operations, online travel and luxury, and specialist travel. On 8 September, the GTA hosted a media breakfast attended by 20 top-tier UK media contacts.

“Grenada Exchange was exactly the event we hoped for. Giving our partners the space to focus solely on Grenada led to meaningful conversations and positive relationship-building,” said Meryem Bennouna, Director of Sales, UK, Grenada Tourism Authority. “The enthusiasm in the room highlighted the appetite for the destination in the UK market. We are building on that growing interest with our upcoming Marketplace and ‘Meet me in Grenada’ campaign, so that even more trade can experience what makes Grenada special first-hand.”

That momentum continues with Marketplace, which takes place in Grenada from 11 to 17 November, with approximately 50 trade partners attending. Held on the Spice Isle, the week brings together networking sessions and industry discussions, pre-scheduled business meetings, hotel inspections and destination immersion activities, before concluding with a closing ceremony and farewell dinner. Marketplace is an invitation-only event, but UK trade partners interested in attending are encouraged to contact the GTA, and further invitations may be extended subject to availability.

For UK travel agents wanting to experience Grenada for themselves, the GTA has also launched ‘Meet me in Grenada’. The offer is open to agents who already sell in the destination or are keen to promote it and is available for travel from now until the end of 2026. Places are capped at 15 and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants book their own flights and send the invoice to the GTA to claim a £400 contribution towards the cost, while the GTA arranges airport transfers and treats each agent to one on-island experience, such as chasing waterfalls, rum and chocolate tours, hiking trails or the Underwater Sculpture Park. The GTA will also arrange hotel inspections, allowing the agents to see the properties first-hand and gain a great understanding of their offerings. Agents request travel agent rates directly from hotels for their accommodation, which is not covered by the offer. There is no minimum length of stay, and the offer does not apply to trips booked for clients.

UK trade partners interested in Grenada Marketplace or ‘Meet me in Grenada’ should contact the Grenada Tourism Authority UK team at [email protected].
