If exit polls are accurate, Bihar’s 2025 assembly election may result in a significant change, at least for the BJP. Exit polls indicate that the party may become the state’s largest party, solidifying its status as the “Big Brother” within the NDA.
According to exit polls, the BJP will win between 67 and 70 seats, far more than Lalu Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal, which is predicted to be the largest party in 2020 with 56–69 seats.
Even though this will make it the highest scorer, the RJD’s 75 seats set a much higher standard last time. However, 58 to 71 seats would undoubtedly be more than Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United can anticipate.
The JD(U) has an average score of 62 seats, while the BJP has an average of 69 seats. There may be 63 seats available for the RJD.
However, it remains to be seen if the BJP’s current level of influence would be altered by being the largest party.
Since 2020, the BJP has been in charge of the state since Chirag Paswan’s choice to go solo caused the JD(U) to lose ground. Only 43 seats were won by the party, which was the alliance’s senior partner up until that point.
However, exit polls are not always accurate. The majority have repeatedly misjudged Bihar.
With numbers ranging from 130 to 167, nine exit polls, including those from Dainik Bhaskar, Matrize, People’s Insight, Chanakya Strategies, and People’s Pulse, have forecast an NDA victory this time.
They estimate that the Mahagathbandhan’s score will range from 73 to 108.
