The Tennis Project, led by India’s Billie Jean King Cup captain Vishal Uppal, hosted the event and expressed delight in seeing the home players succeed.

“The performance of the Indian players truly makes all the hard work in hosting such tournaments worth it,” Uppal told reporters.

“The field was strong, with top-tier players from the United States, Russia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and New Caledonia.” Women’s tennis in India is rapidly expanding, and the results speak for themselves.”
