Etihad Airways used Arabian Travel Market 2026 to provide one of the clearest indications yet of how it intends to evolve its product as the airline enters a period of significant fleet and network expansion.
Now, an immersive 3D tour captured by Virtual World Internet allows Breaking Travel News readers to explore the Etihad stand and take a closer look at what the airline presented during the event in Dubai.

At the centre of the stand was Etihad’s Beyond Borders concept, bringing together new aircraft interiors, future lounge design and a wider rethink of the guest experience.
New A330 cabins revealed
One of the most significant reveals was Etihad’s new Airbus A330 cabin, scheduled to enter service from September 2027.
The aircraft will feature four First Class suites, 24 fully flat Business Class seats and 252 Economy seats, with 15 A330s expected to join the Etihad fleet over five years.
The four-suite First cabin introduces closing privacy doors, 32-inch entertainment screens, wireless charging, additional storage and a personal powder station. The configuration also allows passengers to invite a companion into the suite for dining.
Business Class features forward-facing fully flat suites with direct aisle access and sliding privacy doors.
In Economy, passengers will find 13.3-inch 4K entertainment screens, personal charging and Etihad’s fixed-wing headrests, alongside 32 Extra Legroom seats offering an additional four inches of pitch.
The display also brought Etihad’s A321LR product into the wider story. The narrow-body aircraft represents an important element of the carrier’s growth strategy, combining the economics of a single-aisle aircraft with First Class suites and fully flat Business Class seating.
At the other end of the spectrum, visitors could explore a mock-up of The Residence, Etihad’s three-room A380 product, which remains at the top of the airline’s premium offering.
A new design language for Etihad
The individual products were tied together through Etihad’s Beyond Borders design direction.
Described by the airline as “from sand to superstructure”, the concept takes cues from Abu Dhabi’s landscape, architecture and development.
Materials, lighting, geometric detailing and finishes displayed throughout the stand demonstrated how Etihad intends to create a more consistent visual identity across aircraft, lounges and other customer touchpoints.
The strategy is being backed by substantial investment.
Etihad has outlined plans to invest US$20 billion in aircraft and customer experience, including a US$1 billion retrofit programme for its existing fleet.
Chief executive Antonoaldo Neves has described Beyond Borders as extending beyond the aircraft and the seat, reflecting the airline’s intention to create a more connected experience throughout the passenger journey.
Lounges form part of the next phase
The ATM stand also provided an early indication of how the same thinking will be applied on the ground.
Etihad presented elements of its next-generation lounge concept, including design features expected to appear in its redeveloped London Heathrow lounge.
Heathrow is due to become the first Etihad lounge to fully adopt the Beyond Borders design language, with subsequent lounges planned across the network.
The new concept will include differentiated spaces for First and Business Class passengers, together with private facilities for guests travelling in The Residence.
Beyond the aircraft
Etihad also used Arabian Travel Market to outline a number of initiatives intended to extend its relationship with customers beyond the flight itself.
These included Etihad Escapes, which will initially allow customers to add hotel stays to their flight booking before developing into a broader travel platform.
An agreement with Etihad Rail will explore greater integration between air and rail travel in the UAE, including connections with Zayed International Airport and potential future booking integration.
Etihad and the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi also highlighted the continued development of the Abu Dhabi Stopover programme, with Al Ain added as a complimentary stopover option.
Other announcements during ATM covered Etihad Guest, cargo and ground handling partnerships and wider tourism cooperation.
Taken together, the stand provided more than a showcase of individual seats or aircraft.
It offered a snapshot of how Etihad is preparing for its next stage of expansion and how the airline intends to position Abu Dhabi increasingly prominently throughout the passenger experience.
For those unable to see it first-hand at Arabian Travel Market, the virtual walkthrough provides a detailed record of that moment.
