Tentulia: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asserted on Friday that the BJP recruited outsiders to the Assam elections because it was unsure of winning the northeastern state’s voters.
Speaking at an election rally in Tentulia, North 24 Parganas district, she said that “the saffron party has bought them all” and that no agency in the nation was impartial under the BJP government at the federal level.
“A trainload of 50,000 people was brought to Assam from Uttar Pradesh,” she said.
On Thursday, there was a single phase of elections for the 126-member Assam Assembly.
She said, “Even a snake can be trusted, but not the BJP,” as tensions between the TMC and the BJP escalated in advance of West Bengal’s two-phase assembly elections.
The TMC chief claimed that policemen were reassigned because the BJP was attempting to adopt the same tactic in West Bengal to attract foreigners.
Soon after the polls were announced, the Election Commission moved a huge number of police and administrative officers throughout West Bengal.Drugs, money, and people are being smuggled in, but our workers will prevail in the struggle,” she declared.
According to Banerjee, during the SIR exercise in West Bengal, 90 lakh names were removed from the electoral lists.
According to a media article, 30 lakh Muslims and 60 lakh Hindus have had their names removed, according to the TMC chairman.
She said that 13 lakh Hindus and 6 lakh Muslims were among the 19 lakh names delisted in the NRC operation in Assam, proving that the BJP should never be trusted.
Banerjee declared, “If you want a Trinamool Congress government under my leadership, then I am the candidate in all seats.” She urged voters to consider her as the TMC’s candidate in each of the state’s 294 seats.
While asserting that the names of electors in her constituency have also been removed, the TMC president asserted that the names of numerous Scheduled Caste individuals have been removed from the rolls. We will receive all of the remaining votes, therefore I’m not concerned because I have faith in people.
She claimed that a BJP government would restrict West Bengalis’ options for non-vegetarian meals. Here, people eat whatever they want, but in states controlled by the BJP, this is not the case,” she stated.
She asserted that fish is exported to neighbouring states because it is prohibited for consumption in Bihar.
Banerjee remarked, “You (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) cannot protect West Bengal’s people in other states, but promise a ‘Sonar Bangla’ at rallies.” She claimed that migrant workers from West Bengal endure atrocities in areas run by the BJP.You should only envision a “Sonar Bangla” after West Bengali citizens in BJP-ruled areas are safe,” she stated.
