State cooperation minister KN Rajanna told the House on Thursday that 48 people, including parliamentarians, Karnataka ministers, and “national” figures, reportedly fell for a honey trap. Their pornographic movies have gone viral, he claimed.

“Yes, it was attempted, but it was unsuccessful. This has been occurring in Karnataka for the past 20 years, therefore it is not the first time. This affects all parties, including the Congress, BJP, and JDS,” Jarkiholi stated.

“It has been going on with me and my father for the last six months,” claimed Rajendra Rajanna, an MLC and the son of Karnataka minister KN Rajanna. We assumed it would be a standard phone call or video conversation, but the number of calls has been increasing daily. I’ve addressed the Assembly and asked the [state] Home Minister to look into it. It needs to be looked upon.

48 persons shared pornographic movies that were honeytrapped.
According to KN Rajanna, 48 pen drives in all have been prepared. “I have mentioned pen drives related to leaders from all political parties.”
People claim that Karnataka is home to a pen drive and CD [compact disk] plant. I’ve learned that the state has 48 people’s CDs and pen drives available. Several union ministers have been caught in this network, which is dispersed throughout India, according to KN Rajanna.
He continued, “This issue is not limited to our state — it extends to the national level, involving leaders from various political parties across the country.”
“There are pen drives of 48 individuals from two parties,” ANI reported him as saying. This is a serious threat. The public is now aware of this. They also tried it on me. I have proof. I’ll lodge a grievance. Let the identities of those involved be made public.
According to the Karnataka minister, he asked the home minister to look into the matter. “Blackmail needs to stop. A high-level investigation should be conducted, and the accused should face consequences. I’ll talk to G Parameshwara, the [state] home minister. A retired judge should be in charge of the probe,” he continued.

DK Shivakumar, the deputy chief minister, also supported the need for a police complaint in this case. “Let a complaint be given to the police station first, let’s get it investigated,” he stated to the press.
High-level probe ordered.
A high-level probe into a purported honey trap attempt on a state minister has been ordered by Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara. According to news agency ANI, Parameshwara made the revelation Thursday during the Karnataka Legislative Assembly’s budget session discussion.
