This is the first session of parliament since India’s military response to Pakistani terror camps, Operation Sindoor. It is anticipated that the opposition would ask the prime minister to provide a thorough justification for the military action and its wider ramifications.

Regarding Operation Sindoor, the INDIA bloc is demanding that Prime Minister Modi speak to Parliament in person. They have also called for an official explanation of former US President Donald Trump’s recent statements of mediating a peace between India and Pakistan.
Additionally, the opposition intends to draw attention to Bihar’s ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the election rolls, which involves claims of anomalies and voter deletions. Pramod Tiwari, a Congress MP and Rajya Sabha Deputy Leader, emphasized the necessity of Modi’s responsibility. In reference to the Prime Minister’s forthcoming trip to the UK and Maldives from July 23 to 26, he stated, “Parliament is more important than traveling abroad.”
