Passengers traveling to India from certain Middle Eastern countries may now pre-book more check-in baggage at cheaper rates thanks to a limited-time offer from Air India Express.
Travelers from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates can purchase an additional 5 kg or 10 kg of baggage at a discounted price during the booking process.
Bookings made through January 31, 2026, for travel from January 16 to March 10, 2026, are eligible for this deal. Subject to availability, travelers can take advantage of the discount through the airline’s website, mobile app, and main booking channels.
In lots of 5 kilogram or 10 kg, additional check-in baggage can be purchased under the scheme for the following prices: BHD 0.2 from Bahrain, KWD 0.2 from Kuwait, OMR 0.2 from Oman, QAR 2 from Qatar, SAR 2 from Saudi Arabia, and AED 2 from the UAE. The promotion is only available during the booking process and is applicable to all fare classes, including Xpress Value, Xpress Lite, Xpress Flex, and Xpress Biz.
With the exception of Xpress Lite, which does not allow check-in luggage, Air India Express now gives a minimum 30 kilogram baggage limit on these routes across the majority of fare types. This promotion allows qualified travelers to check in up to 40 kg of baggage, plus an additional 10 kg.
According to the airline, the offer is intended to assist travelers who are visiting relatives and friends in India and are bringing extra personal belongings, necessities, or gifts.
As a member of the Tata Group, Air India Express offers more than 500 daily flights to 45 domestic and 16 foreign locations.
