Laughter Chefs Season 2, hosted by Bharti Singh, came to an end on Sunday with a lavish party. Aly Goni and Reem Shaikh placed first runners-up, while Karan Kundrra and Elvish Yadav were proclaimed the champions. Reem and Aly, the runners-up, received diamond stars, while Karan and Elvish received the trophy for winning the show.
Laughter Chefs’ first season star Karan Kundrra joined Season 2 in the middle, taking Abdu Rozik’s place and working alongside Elvish Yadav. They showed themselves to be formidable competitors, although they were only a hair’s breadth away from Aly Goni and Reem Shaikh. Aly and Reem were ahead until the semi-finals, however the last round reversed that.
“Season 1 had ended abruptly, and there were no winners,” Karan Kundrra stated in an exclusive interview with SCREEN regarding Laughter Chefs. The show, which was intended to be a filler show, unexpectedly got popular as we were all figuring it out. There were a lot of problems after season 1 ended since there was a lull and there were 16 persons in this season besides Bharti and chef Harpal. However, since the show is therapeutic, I wanted to return.
“The first time I ever went into the kitchen in my life was in Laughter Chefs 1,” he continued. I’ve never prepared food before. I was unaware of my talent for cooking and how much I would love it. I learnt how to make food appetising by season two. It’s much more fun to shoot for the show. Just 40–50 minutes are seen on TV, but we shoot for 16 hours, so you can only imagine how much fun we had. I would never miss a day when I was filming in Dubai. The finalists in both seasons were so good that I would fly here at 3:30 am after shooting all day and night and not even feel exhausted.
Additionally, Karan Kundrra revealed that when they were offered the first season of Laughter Chefs, he was first dubious. Indeed, we had our doubts. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Working alongside sixteen other people raised a lot of questions and concerns. To be completely honest, actors are extremely nervous; they don’t want to share their screen time, and everyone is anxious about their placement, but we were lucky. Everyone on the show was positive in both seasons, which made filming a lot of fun. Things may go south with the wrong contestant, but it never happened.
Finally, Karan discussed Laughter Chefs Season 3. “I’m not sure if season three is being discussed, but I think the show will eventually air. This show has a global audience and good ratings.
