With a jump of nearly a quarter, it was a hot July for the travel jobs market, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.
The number of new travel job opportunities increased by 24 per cent last month, meaning that July’s total was the highest since February. Compared to July 2025, the figure was down by just one per cent.
There was a small nine per cent monthly dip in the number of new candidates searching for roles during July, however candidates were up by 18 per cent compared to the same month last year.
Finally, the number of applicants being placed in new travel jobs slipped back by eight per cent last month and was also down by 21 per cent from July 2025.
Speaking about the stats, Barbara Kolosinska, Co-Owner and Managing Director at C&M Travel Recruitment, said: “It’s great to see a big increase in the number of new jobs being made available. Lots of these roles are very appealing with excellent salaries, so this should lead to more candidates applying for the positions and – hopefully – more placements being made in the coming months. We’ve been saying it for some time now, but we need momentum and consistency in the travel recruitment market and a 24 per cent monthly increase in new vacancies is an excellent sign.
“August is usually one of the very quietest months of the year, but the indications so far suggest this August could be the busiest that we’ve had in some time. Fingers crossed!”
